We’re a warm, down-to-earth church family tucked right here in the heart of Barberville—surrounded by oak trees, open fields, and the simple kind of beauty God paints best. Our church may feel small-town, but our love for the Lord and our community is big, genuine, and growing.

Who We Are

We’re real people who love Jesus, love the Bible, and love each other. You’ll find farmers, families, fishermen, teachers, retirees, young folks, and everything in between—just good-hearted people walking together in faith. We don’t pretend to be perfect; we just strive to make Christ known, build one another up, and share God’s hope with our community.

At the heart of our church family is our pastor, Pastor Jimmy Dean—a warm, down-to-earth shepherd with a genuine love for God’s Word and a genuine love for people. If you’ve ever met him, you already know he’s the kind of pastor who shakes your hand with a smile, remembers your name, asks about your family, and truly means it when he says he’s praying for you. His preaching is straight from the King James Bible, filled with truth, clarity, and a practical, encouraging touch that speaks to everyday life. Children and Teen Ministry

Our Children and Teen Ministry is the place to be! Join us every Sunday at 10:00 AM and again on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM for an exciting time of Bible teaching, friendships, and fun. Your kids and teens will experience a Christ‑centered environment filled with energy, encouragement, and activities they’ll look forward to all week. We can’t wait to welcome them!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2026

First Baptist Church of Barberville is excited to invite children and teens to our 2026 Vacation Bible School! **Dates:** Monday, July 27 – Friday, July 31 **Time:** 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM each evening **Location:** First Baptist Church of Barberville **Address:** 200 E. Broad Street, Barberville, FL 32105 This year's exciting theme is **"The Life of Christ."** Throughout the week, students will journey through the major events of Jesus' life and discover who He is and why He came. Each evening will feature Bible-centered lessons covering: * The Virgin Birth of Jesus * The Miracles and Healings of Jesus * Jesus Walking on the Water * The Feeding of the 5,000 * The Death of Christ * The Burial of Christ * The Resurrection of Christ There will also be plenty of fun with: * Free Food * Games * Prizes * Cotton Candy * Snow Cones * Bible Songs * Bible Lessons * Crafts * Fellowship and Fun Vacation Bible School is open to **ages 4–18**, and there is no cost to attend. Bring your friends and family and join us for an unforgettable week as we learn about the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to help young people grow in their faith, build friendships, and discover the love of God through His Word. We look forward to seeing you there!
